About Stepan Vdovine

Stepan Vdovine is an amateur painter and a photographer.

He is the Director of Business Development at Amacon, real estate development and construction firm, where his responsibilities focus on the company’s strategic priorities and external affairs.

Prior to joining Amacon Stepan spent 15 years as a political strategist and communicator, having been involved in campaigns on all three levels of government. He has played key roles on Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson’s three successful campaigns, including as Deputy Campaign Director.

From 2012 till 2017, Stepan served as the Executive Director of Vision Vancouver, Canada’s largest municipal political organization.

In 2017, following the election of Premier John Horgan, Stepan served the new government during the transition period.

Stepan’s entry into politics began at the age of 19 when he was elected as the youngest school trustee in British Columbia.

Stepan is passionate about bringing people together to solve complex challenges. He lives in Vancouver with his partner Mira Oreck and their two-year old son Zev.

Stepan devotes his time to several non-profit organizations, including serving on the boards of BC Artscape and the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC).
